This is the 1st store in Asia. I saw this on Instagram and the food looks delicious that's why I immediately search for the location and what is IHOP? IHOP, formerly known as The International House of Pancakes, is a United States-based restaurant chain that specializes in breakfast foods. The first branch is located in The Fort, I can't wait to visit and try. IHOP's focus is on breakfast foods such as pancakes, French toast, and omelettes, it also offers a menu of lunch and dinner items too.
New York Cheesecake Pancakes (Php 285)
A taste of New York! A stack of two fluffy buttermilk pancakes is loaded with rich cheesecake pieces and crowned with cool strawberries, powdered sugar and whipped topping.
Breakfast Sampler (Php 395)
With this sampler, two is the magic number! That’s two eggs, two crispy bacon strips, two pork sausage links, two pieces of ham, two fluffy buttermilk pancakes and one golden hash brown. (you can have the eggs scrambled or sunny side up.. your choice)
Splashberry (Php 175)
Sparkling, fruity and refreshingly delicious, A blend of IHOP's juicy red strawberries, lemon-lime soda and premium orange juice.
If you have a plain buttermilk pancakes you can enjoy their 4 kinds of syrup. They have Butter Pecan, Strawberry, Blueberry and Old Fashion. I poured little amount of each so I can figure which one for me is the best. Hmmm its hard to decide but I'll stick with Butter Pecan. Popo loved the strawberry though. You can also try to mix it, have fun with it, after all they all taste great for my sweet tooth.
It's 6:30AM when we reached IHOP, We were ushered by the host upstairs and to our surprise there were already numbers of people having breakfast at that time knowing that they just opened at 6:00AM. As we sat the host gave us the menu and wait for the server to get our orders. After 15 mins. of waiting, I raised my hand for them to notice that we are ready to order. Few servers pass by our table not pro-actively ask what do we need.. Then finally our order was taken & excitedly waiting for our food to be served. Lalalalala... an hour passed by were pretty hungry, Popo and I convinced ourselves that we understand their job, the place was packed with customers and besides they just opened 4 days ago. But to wait for an hour is no joke! Some customers were already complaining for the same reason. Finally our food has arrived. While we gobbled our food I asked where are the drinks and the other pancake? Moving on, I enjoyed my food while Popo said there is nothing special about the food she ordered. Haha. But I like the hash brown and the bacon =) Now its time to ask for our bill. I raised my hand again and no one seemed to notice, then the supervisor came and ask what do we need? I asked for the bill, It took for about 30 mins. to get the bill and another 15 mins to get the change. Phew! We left IHOP by 8:30AM, can you imagine how long it took us just to eat pancakes. Hahaha.. Even with the bad service experience, I can't wait to come back and try their other dishes. I will recommend this to my friends, hopefully their service will improve.
Have you been to IHOP? What is your favorite dish? We've love to hear your dine-in experience with IHOP.
